Organized by the Philharmonie de Paris, the Days Off 2016 festival has an exceptional line-up this year. For its 7th edition, if eclecticism is the keyword, the festival still presents a surprising mix of artists, ranging from pop to indie rock, post-rock, new wave or blues.

    An eclectic program

This edition will once again make us travel between concerts, exhibitions, screenings and discoveries of all kinds, offering us a resolutely current vision of today's music and its various forms of expression. The festival will offer the long-awaited film-concert of Mogwai (whose album Atomic has just been released, we talked about it here) on Sunday, July 3.

Cat power (already present at the2nd edition in 2011) returns to the stage of Days Off on July 7, with a program that also includes Benjamin Clementine (& the Heritage orchestra) on June 30, the dance performance Come alive! (June 30 and July 2), Anohni (ex Anthony and the Johnsons) on July 4, Max Richter on July 2, Kurt Vile & the Violators on July 7 at the concert hall, Philip Glass & Kronos Quartet also on July 7 (great hall of the Philharmonie), the Links Ensemble performing Steve Reich on July 9, The Cinematic Orchestra on July 9, and many more, announced and still in the pipeline.

Days Off is therefore a beautiful platform, singular and diversified, allowing the presentation of musical creations, new projects, renowned headliners and new surprises.

Hexagon evening + Velvet Underground special

The French scene will have a dedicated evening, the Hexagone evening, with Isaac Delusion, L'impératrice, Bagarre and Fishbach. Other artists will complete this program, already promising.

As the festival takes place at both the Philharmonie and the Cité de la Musique, it will include a special night of The Velvet Underground exhibition in its programming, with a special live performance by Black Yaya and a screening of the very rare Venus in Furs by Piero Heliczer.
