Rumors are still circulating about the DC Comics characters that we will soon find in The Batman and Josh Gad has just rekindled the flame! So, who are we going to see in the next movie about the bat man played, this time, by Ben Affleck?

It is true that in the space of a few months, The Batman has become a Hollywood soap opera worthy of the Fires of Love as the twists and turns were numerous. With a Ben Affleck who takes a lot to decide to make the film or not, who says yes to finally give up after a few weeks. If the Oscar-winning actor and director had fun teasing what awaited us a few months ago, he ended up getting tired of all the questions and since then it's a bit "the film whose name should not be pronounced"

New twist! A few days ago, comedian Josh Gad posted on his Twitter account a simple image without comments. It is an illustration of the Penguin, iconic character and one of Batman's sworn enemies. Indeed, the actor posted this image from the comic strip that shows the Penguin holding, in one hand, a bird and, in the other, an umbrella that is always associated with it. In the bubble, it is written "Make me! " which can be translated as "Choose me! " or "Oblige me! ". As Josh Gad meets all the criteria to camp the character, there is no reason why the role should not be entrusted to him in The Batman or another film of the DC universe. This post seems to be a real lobbying on the part of Gad to get a role in a future DC movie.

The Penguin is an iconic Batman villain. The character has appeared on the big screen several times: Danny De Vito 's interpretation of the role in Batman Returns is probably the most remarkable. Recently, the Penguin also appeared in the FOX series Gotham , portrayed by Robin Taylor.

Another clue that could announce the presence of Josh Gad in the film: the actor was followed on Twitter by two executive producers at Warner Bros for the DC Comics films. The last time this happened, we learned of Joe Manganiello's arrival in The Batman.

Josh Gad has just participated in Beauty and the Beast and had lent his voice to Olaf, the happy snowman in Frozen, two Disney masterpieces. Most recently, he presented the panel on the Star Wars VIII episode at Star Wars Celebration. We will soon find him in The Crime of the Orient Express, the feature film adapted from the famous detective novel by Agatha Christie which benefits from a four-star cast including Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley or Penelope Cruz !

In addition to The Batman which is about to be rewritten by director Matt Reeves, the Penguin could show the tip of his (long) nose in the spin-off of David Ayer, Gotham City Sirens, or in other DC projects like Nightwing and Batgirl by Joss Whedon. So these are potential movies that are going to need supervillains. It is also not excluded that Gad was hired to voice Oswald Cobblepot in a DC animated film

At this stage, all hypotheses are equal and perhaps none of them will prove true in the end. It's true, deep down, maybe Josh Gad just wanted to post an image of the Penguin as some post pictures of puppies on social networks, because he likes the character a lot! But hey, we still doubt it a lot and this lack of comments leaves us doubtful to say the least…

In any case, we would be really happy to hear that Josh Gad would take on the role of the Penguin in The Batman. So, when will the official announcement be made?
