June/Offred and the other scarlet maids will be back in a third season of The Handmaid's Tale according to the Hulu platform.
While the second season of the Emmy-winning series has just resumed, Hulu, producer of the series, has just announced the creation of the third season.
Based on Margaret Atwood's novel The Handmaid's Tale, The Handmaid's Tale tells in the first season the coup d'état of the politico-religious sect of the "Sons of Jacob" in the United States. Created by Bruce Miller, Elisabeth Moss plays the main character of June. In the second season, she manages to escape from the house where she was held as a servant and could engage in rebellion against the Republic of Gilead.
Official synopsis: In a dystopian and totalitarian society with a very low birth rate, women are divided into three categories: the Brides, who dominate the house, the Marthas, who maintain it, and the Handmaids, whose role is reproduction.
The series airs in France on OCS which already has exclusivity on many HBO and HULU series.
The announcement of this third season suggests that the fight is far from over …
