Fox chose one of the stars of one of the surprises at the 2015 box office, Corey Hawkins who played Dr. Dre in N.W.A – Straight Outta Compton.
The new series is called 24: Legacy. The pace of the series will be similar to the previous one. The 27-year-old actor, Corey Hawkins, will play Eric Carter, a gifted young man who came from a difficult background but changed his life by joining the Rangers. Back in Virginia with his wife, he finds himself facing his past. Carter will ask the CTU for help to save his life and stop one of the most terrible attacks on American soil.
This new version of 24 offers nothing transcendent when reading such a scenario. We remain skeptical about the interest of reviving the series especially if Jack Bauer is no longer in a program that was mainly carried by its main interpreter. The choice to put Corey Hawkins as the hero of 24 is interesting even if we hope that this decision was not taken following the many controversies generated after the Oscars.
