Greg Berlanti, creator of the adaptations of Arrow and Flash, broadcast on the CW, should stage a new superheroic series soon, Black Lightning. Under drafting for a year, the project would only require a broadcasting channel.

Black Lightning, created by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden for DC Comics in 1977, is a former athlete capable of manipulating electrical energy. Jefferson Pierce, his real name, would have put his costume in the closet before being trained to put it on by two young girls in search of justice. He is the first black superhero in the history of comics, and has never had a visual support to dedicate it.

Greg Berlanti told the American site Deadline that he is currently in discussions with different television channels, although no release date has yet been scheduled. In addition, his character could also have cross-overs Arrow, Flash or Legends of Tomorrow, even if he were not distributed by the same channels.
