What to expect at Urban comics this summer?

Where do we start in July?

  • Batman the Legend Volume 1, 368 pages DC Archives by Neal Adams. With the help of several other superheroes like Superman and Flash, the vigilante of the night must face threats much darker than the daily life of the time. At the time, these episodes left a lasting mark on artists.

An unsung masterpiece of Batman

  • Batman metal volume 2 , 248 pages DC Rebirth by writers James Tynion IV, Scott Snyder and pencillers Greg Capullo, Doug Mahnke. As Barbatos' plans for Batman are revealed, his agents in the Dark Multiverse invade reality.
  • Fables – the wolf among us volume 1 , 232 pages, Urban Vertigo. The heroes of the tales have left their kingdoms to integrate our daily lives. Bigby Wolf is the sheriff and when a young woman, once a princess, is beheaded, Bigby is tasked with finding the culprit.
  • Justice League Rebirth Volume 4, 152 pages DC Rebirth by Brian Hitch. An opponent with a powerful weapon targets Flash and destroys Manhattan. Every time Flash comes into contact with his weapon's energy, he is sent back in time.

And then in August?

Paper Girls A strange and captivating series

  • Final crisis volume 2, 400 pages, The continuation of a crossover (meeting of several series around the same story) major publisher DC. Sorceress Zatanna fights against the wizard Zor as new soldiers join the fight against the Sheedas. Without ever meeting, they will change the face of the world and reveal the imminent invasion of a tyrant straight from Apokolyps.
  • Paper girls volume 4, 136 pages at Urban indies by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang. After being torn away in their time, in 1988, the four friends, Erin, Mac, Tiffany and KJ, continue traveling through space-time.
  • Aquaman sub-diego volume 1, 320 pages DC Classic by Arcudi John and Gleason Patrick. After a violent tidal wave, the city of San Diego finds itself under the waves. But, miraculously, its inhabitants end up with gills! Aquaman may have found a new people to guide.
