As we know, the Marvel calendar is well established. We know that Chadwick Boseman will be Black Panther and that Tom Holland will play the next Spider-Man. But until now, no one was attached to Captain Marvel's feature film, scheduled for 2019 between the two Avengers: Infinity War.

According to the American magazine Variety, it seems that actress Brie Larson, just Oscar winner for her role in Room, is in negotiations to play Captain Marvel as Carol Danvers. If so, she would be the first Marvel heroine to have a solo movie, competing with Wonder Woman.

Still no director at the helm, but a screenwriter, Meg LeFauve who had participated in the script of Vice-Versa, as well as Nicole Periman, attached to the Guardians of the Galaxy. This gives clues as to the tone that would be adopted.

Until this is confirmed, we will have the opportunity to see Brie Larson in the prequel of King Kong entitled Kong: Skull Island, scheduled for 2017.
