Mistresses, the series created by K.J. Sternberg and based on the British series of the same name will not be renewed for a fifth season.

End clap for the Mistresses series! While for several weeks, many fans of the American series on social networks were hoping for the renewal of their favorite program, the ABC channel has unfortunately decided otherwise. According to information from an American site, the series will not be renewed for a fifth season! The episode aired last Tuesday which was followed by 2.6 million aficionados served as the final series.

As with most abrupt cancellations, many questions will remain unanswered and fans of the series will have to deal with them. This is what one of the program's executive producers regrets:

"We felt like there was an extra year to tell, but we were also looking for an enjoyable way to close the page on the show. There would have been some interesting new storylines to stage and we would have gone back to the kind of stories that the show had in its early days."

As a reminder, Mistresses recounted the adventures of a group of friends composed of four women. Savannah Davis is a lawyer who is trying to have a child with her husband, but is playing with fire with one of her colleagues. His sister, Joss Carver, continues relationships without a future until he meets a person who will upset his daily life. The psychiatrist, Karen Kim, faces the family of a recently deceased patient with whom she was having an affair. As for April Malloy, she thinks her husband didn't die after mysterious phone calls.
