Back on Aruba, seventeenth and last episode of the season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Our review.

The last episode of season 2 of DC's Legends of Tomorrow has just been broadcast on the American channel CW. And we must admit that the wait will be long until next October as our Legends have blown us away this year! Aruba, the seventeenth episode, opened with a team amputated of two limbs and stuck in a reality created by the Legion of Doom. Fortunately, the Waverider was not far away (just miniaturized!). So they make the decision to go back, despite the possibility of interfering with the weather itself and triggering a disaster. But have the Legends ever followed the rules? The team meets again in 2016 and it is interesting to witness the different interactions between the versions of the characters. Special mention to Mick (Dominic Purcell) who is now an excellent character!

4-serieserieThere are of course multiple scenes to remember such as the death of Ray (Brandon Routh) at the hands of the Reverse Flash (Matt Lescher) but also the death of all the doubles of the Legends because yes, if they want to save time and the world, they will have to fade away. The different moments fit together coherently, especially the scene where Jax (Franz Drameh) from the future takes the arrow intended for Martin (Victor Garber) from the past…

What prevails in Aruba is above all humor. As in all episodes of this season, the writers have clearly decided to go against the other series of the Arrow-Verse and offer infinite possibilities to the plot. The relationship between Martin and Jax, the relationship between Mick and the rest of the team or the characters of Ray and Nate (Nick Zano), everything is controlled. We must also not forget the emotional side of the story. Thanks to the temporary return of Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) to Sara (Caity Lotz), the latter finally realizes that she is a good person, that she has evolved and that she has become better. The scene is touching and finally allows Sara to have a real goodbye with Laurel and to understand that her sister, who died at the hands of Damian Darhk is at peace.

We're thrilled to hear of the return of Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Nate next season. Indeed, the young woman refuses to return in 1942 to stay with him. The story is touching and we hope it will create even more temporal aberrations next year. The departure of Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) is a real surprise. He leaves the command to Sara because he has gone around what he can teach our Legends. A temporary departure? Case to follow next season. The very last scene of the episode already opens the sequel, with the Waverider crashing in 2017 in Los Angeles. But it is a slightly different city that the team discovers, since in addition to a multicultural aesthetic, it is invaded by dinosaurs! The cleaning will be long to do!

In conclusion, DC's Legends of Tomorrow closes its second season on a fun episode, full of humor and references (the Goonies for example!). A second chapter closes and it is above all a step for our team to become true legends. Of all the series of the Arrow-Verse, LOT is certainly the one that we take the most pleasure to discover each week, as the intelligent fan-service is put to good use. The wait will be long between now and next October…
