One voice, one fight

A true jack of all trades, Thérèse is a Parisian singer, fashion designer and activist. Her struggles are those of a generation and revolve around the question of cultural identity, universality and inclusive feminism. So-called "inclusive" feminism is the one that advocates freedom for all women: we fight as much for the rights of sex workers as for those of veiled women. Racialized women are equally important and legitimate. It is already difficult to evolve as a woman in our current society. This is even more so when you are a racialized woman. The invisibilization of Asian women and the racism that follows is still a problem that is far (very far) from being addressed. Therese fights for it. She said it herself: "The absence of Asian figures has led me to an identity crisis." Hence the extreme importance of representation : a little girl of color will necessarily have a harder time identifying with Cinderella or Elsa from Frozen than one who is not. The singer wants to put the place of Asian women back at the heart of the debate and denounce the racial discrimination they suffer.

Don't you know that I'm T.O.X.I.C ?

The convergence of these struggles strongly inspired Thérèse, especially in her creations but also in her songs. Initially, the original version of T.O.X.I.C has been available to us since July 17. Poignant and strong, this single is a cry for emancipation. Indeed, Thérèse tries to make us understand through this song, that it is important to know how to say "no, that's enough". Say stop to the psychological and / or physical violence that our partner inflicts on us or even that we inflict on ourselves. Thérèse encourages us to slam the door on toxic relationships, it will only be liberating. Re-appropriating one's body, one's mind, are not easy. It is a long and painful journey but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. But the singer with bi-color hair will offer us a second version designed for clubs, which will be at the crossroads of acid house and techno melody. It was the producer and composer Nadir Moussaoui (also called KasbaH) who accepted this major challenge! The new single will be available from October 30 on all platforms. unnamed 2 Thérèse : T.O.X.I.C, a hymn to emancipation It is with enormous merit that Thérèse was selected among 1550 registered artists, in the TOP 100 of the Prix Société Pernod Ricard France Live Music 2021.
