New favorite of the team, SEIN is a young electro rap group composed of Balthazar and Joseph who met in high school in 2015 and who today follow projects. Their new music video, Villa, was released on May 4th!
SEIN, who are they?
For those who do not know the group, Balthazar and Joseph are two Parisians who met in class, the name of the group means "to be" in German and it was during the German course that they met.Respectively guitarist and pianist, they quickly decided to found the group, and in June 2016, they developed their first songs using a mac and an old sound card in their room. They swing some sounds online, revealing an already singular style, between dancing electro and delirious rap, fruit of the various influences of the two Parisians: Just Jack, Mac DeMarco, Kaytranada, Veence Hanao … Shots of flirting, gargantuan fiestas, simple pleasures and existential questions of their generation, the texts oscillate between humor and mood, love and bitterness, absolute and absurd.
Their projects
At the end of 2017, two clips, "Red" and "Legal" announce the release of their first E.P. self-produced: " Sein La Vie ", 5 fresh and sparkling tracks of ideas, with cosmic electro effects inserted between the bass lines. All this creative energy is crossed by the unwavering flows of the 18- and 19-year-old duo. Their style is atypical and the two young accomplices know how to
rap with as much panache as any confirmed rapper.
Filmed during the band's second concert at the Nouveau Casino in April 2018, the video for "Villa" shows the crazy atmosphere and ardor that transcends the excited audience when they take the stage.
For the next projects, the single " Illy " (which will be released in June 2018) promises a summer under the sun, to sunbathe while listening to those who are
perhaps already the most turbulent duo of this new generation rap curious and uninhibited.
