It was during a party that Dan Lévy, musician and producer of the group, discovered the hidden voice of the singer. Without having any experience as a composer, but with the encouragement of Lévy and her love for the soul of Donny Hathaway and Bill Withers, Yorina began to write her first songs that stand out for the majestic sensitivity behind the voice and lyrics.

Dry Your Tears

Dry Your Tears is the name of the singer's first EP. The fragile and painful lyrics of his EP come from a tragic episode in his life: the loss of his brother. However, this never-closed scar allowed Yorina to create a repertoire of extreme beauty to heal and overcome this unfortunate event.

"Please listen to my grief" she sings on Pick Up The Phone and that's really what happens in her opus. Indeed, Yorina presents us the most intimate fibers of her grief with an angelic , crystalline, pure voice especially on Let Me Believe " Let Me Believe that this would last, I need you here as in the past" and her single that advocates freedom, Wild As A Horse.

At the same time, the production is simplistic by using synthesizers, piano, especially with the sublime Waiting and harp on Let Me Believe, to truly plunge the listener into the vulnerability of the singer.

Yorina is not afraid. His EP is an open door to his diary filled with extremely powerful ballads, guided by the immeasurable talent of his voice. Dry Your Tears is an EP that will fill your head with sweet songs as she says on Waiting. Indeed, these are sweet songs that hide a huge well-being: "I will whisper to your ears, everything will be ok", she sings on Dry Your Tears. Yorina is proof that art is there to turn something tragic into a work of art and we can't wait to discover the rest.

We give his EP a score of 9/10.

Good news! Yorina will be in concert in Paris on Monday, June 25 at the Pop up du Label for an evening that promises to be memorable. To discover his musical universe, we leave you with the incredible clip of Wild As A Horse.
