Reflections, the duo formed by Takami Nakamoto & Sébastien Benoits made its Parisian premiere at the Mondial du Tattoo. Incredible sound and light under the Grande Halle de la Villette!

If the audience of the World Cup was eager to find Carpenter Brut on stage, he did not balk when he discovered the first part: Reflections. It is an exceptional sound and light that the electro duo offered us with a heavy and fluid sound at the same time.

Reflections

It is in relative darkness that Takami Nakamoto and Sébastien Benoits set up. From the first chords and drum strokes, the LEDs suspended above the pit come alive and illuminate. The eyes will then travel during a set of 45 minutes between the stage and the ceiling.

The sound?

An experimental electro that borders on the minimal and flirts with the ambient. It's fluid, crystalline, but it can get powerful, heavy and deep. The beats hit hard, tremble and thrill a conquered audience. Curious at first, he quickly let himself be convinced and gradually danced. He swings and lets himself be carried away by this sensory experience.

The light of Studio Nonotak!

We owe this performance to Studio Nonotak, of which Takami is a member. With Noémi Schipfer, they were able to give a new dimension to the Grande Halle de la Villette. A perfectly well orchestrated lighting scenography that illuminated the space throughout the World Cup. We then realize that without sound, this installation has an autonomous life that without disturbing the visit, dresses the heart of the Grande Halle. With the music, it is a sparkling ballet that amazes the spectators.

We do not see the time pass and we let ourselves be completely caught. When the end of the concert comes, we are still completely absorbed and it is not easy to get out of this electronic universe.

Warmly acclaimed, the Reflections project has achieved its goal: to offer a journey to the audience of the Mondial du tattoo before the thunderous arrival of Carpenter Brut. Congratulations to them for this great performance!

The first album will be released on March 10
