No money Kids was at the Trianon. The Blues band offered us a huge concert worthy of their musical reputation. A look back at one of the best French bands of the decade.

It smells like delta

No money kids is a mix of blues (by the rhythm), and rock (by its sound). The French duo puts a delicate balance in their songs. Between personality and inspiration. Between understanding and appropriation. It smells like blues, blues like we do in detla, it's reminiscent of a lot of different bands, Black River delta, Cedric Burnside sometimes too. No more kids knows how to reinvent itself. With a more rock sound on the previous album, the duo seems to have made a trip to appropriate a more blues rhythmic on Factory. The title Brother sums it up well. Blues on the beginning, rock later. https://youtu.be/q7ub_xJ93yo

It's animal, it's diabolical!

The figure of the devil has always had an importance in the blues, in rock. No money Kids is brutal in its riffs, animal almost. Factory, their latest album, totally blurs the tracks. No money kids is a rock band or surely blues, it reminds especially an image of old bar on the side of Memphis or elsewhere. It catches, it's complicated to detach from it. It is true that No money Kids is difficult to define. Because of their uniqueness undoubtedly and their appropriation of different styles, we hope to see them again very quickly with novelties. Excellent with instruments in our hands we trust them for the sequel that we look forward to. https://youtu.be/tdd2-V_14mw

A duo with a strong identity

In this album, the blues is accompanied by simple themes, a blues ballad is about the difficulty of life, work in the fields, another is about the journey to the city, the marginalized, homosexuality … Lost causes are among the themes of the Parisian duo. They express themselves, we question, we doubt, we dream but we never come out the same. Trouble was in 2018, but that's still what it feels like to listen to them. The duo composed of Félix Kazablanca and JM Paletan has a future because they still have a lot to show us, to tell us. He takes us with their instruments, their inspiration, their words and their notes. Factory is a factory of pure emotions. We just went, we already want to go back.
