Available since August 27, Toujours nous-même remains faithful to the authenticity of Hornet La Frappe. Lyrics transposing his daily life wrapped in melodrama, such is the promise of the rapper. "For the love of sound, I shoot down / For the love of sound, I take care of the real ones / Know all my life, my weaknesses / We love each other for real, not stories of f**** who fuck you". These are the words of Hornet La Frappe dans Main de fer. From the first title the artist indicates the direction he gives to his work. In his new album mingle titles with personal lyrics like Main de fer, Charcleur, and lighter titles like Kedaba, Machiavellique. Regarding the clip of Kedaba he confides to BFM "we were inspired a lot by the clip of Michael Jackson. We also took Katy Perry's ref, with lots of colors. We liked it, we thought it fitted." Able to kick or pose in a melodious way, exploiting a wide artistic palette for its visuals, Hornet La Frappe is oriented towards diversity. A diversity that he has been working on since a very young age. He began writing his first texts at the age of 13. His career really began in 2012 when he signed with TXT Productions, a label run by Busta Flex considered one of the best French freestylers. It is therefore well accompanied that Hornet La Frappe makes its debut. In 2014 he released his first EP of seven tracks composed by the famous Busta Flex. Entitled Réussir ou Mounir the project makes a nod to the film Réussir ou mourir by playing with the rapper's real name: Mounir. So in full period of doubt the artist creates his label Diez Peufra and leaves 1 year to succeed in imposing himself. He decided to post freestyles on Daymolition, a channel dedicated to the exhibition of young rappers. His work gained visibility and he received the support of Sofiane and Kalash Criminel. In 2016 his name imposed itself on the French rap scene thanks to the title Gramme 2 peuf published on Daymolition. The song was even certified platinum single. On this momentum he released the projects Nous, Dans les yeux and Ma ruche. After this last album followed by a reissue, Hornet la Frappe is discreet. Yet he is not idle and appears on Nahir's mixtape, or on the project of the young rookie the German. And so it is in August that he makes his return with his new album Toujours nous-même. Composed of 14 tracks, it echoes his first mixtape Nous-même released in 2017 and testifies to the progress made. Among his 14 tracks are featurings with Maes, Ninho and Dwen. Besides, Dwen is none other than his little brother and signed with the label of Hornet Diez Peufra. We hope for future nuggets approaching.
