Casting announcements for Venom, the spin-off developed by Sony are numerous lately. The latest was revealed by Variety which announces Jenny Slate, noticed recently in the family drama Mary which was presented in Deauville.
The actress is currently reportedly in negotiations with Sony for the role. We don't know the details but she could play a scientist. Jenny Slate has been seen in various feature films like Obvious Child and Landine for Amazon.
Apart from Tom Hardy in the lead role, the American media recently talked about Riz Ahmed and Michelle Williams. If Sony confirms all this beautiful little world, the Venom project would prove to be one of the most attractive of the year 2018 (if the film comes out next year).
Spider-Man is not expected to appear in the upcoming film. However, we bet that Venom can make a turn on the side of our dear weaver if the film is a hit at the box office. A confrontation that could make sparks if Tom Holland gains charisma as it would be difficult for him to exist against the former interpreter of Bane.
The creative team working on the making of this film is not the most reassuring but we hope that the casting choices will be in line with the words relayed by the American media.
