Solidays 2017 – A Sunday of sharing and mixing

After two very lively first days, Solidays 2017 ended with a Sunday of sharing and miscegenation. Colorful, playful and with a lot of enthusiasm!

Last day and already a little nostalgia at the idea of seeing this excellent edition of Solidays come to an end. But we know that Sunday, although calmer in appearance, can still be a great moment of intensity.

The afternoon begins with our discovery and favorite of Sunday: A-Vox, a duo of brother and sister whose state of mind fits perfectly with the festival: energetic, committed, unifying and who already shows on stage a huge potential. We are excited to meet them a little later in the evening.

We will then run to the other end of the racecourse to join Mat Bastard in his solo project. The singer of Skip The Use has not lost his grain of madness… We can even say that it has been accentuated: with a diction à la David Boring of Naïve New Beaters, he plays it offbeat and changes all the rules, recalling the photographers (who only had to stay for the first 3 titles), electrifying the public with a crazy cover of I take you to the wind by Louise Attaque, rushing all over the stage, descending into the pit… The A-Vox will join him after their concert for a surprise appearance on their joint track: More Than Friends. Great time!

Passing in front of the César Circus, we see with pleasure of emulation festival-goers for the sound of The Geek X Vr, an electro formation that does not leave indifferent. It is feel good music that can be listened to easily and that can take possession of your feet if you do not pay attention.

A moment of emotion in front of the Paris stage as the public, volunteers and associations gather around large patchwork placed on the ground made in memory of the victims of AIDS. It is the moment of the ceremony against oblivion, a time of calm and contemplation.

The resumption of the festivities is done with the warm voice of Imany, a quiet force who despite her sweetness comes to speak with conviction of her fights and leads the public to follow her. Very nice concert with incredibly touching and gripping music that remains in hearts and in heads.

We quickly return to the tent of the César Circus to meet the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence for their famous Mass! After all, it's Sunday and we wouldn't miss their blessing for anything. Between laughter and good words, they have the gift of reminding us of the essentials, of awakening consciences, of moving to tears and of restoring hope. Thanks again to them!

Impossible to leave the place, it is the turn of the A-Wa sisters to go on stage. The Israelis will ignite the already hot festival-goers boiling with Hip hop rhythms and Yemeni songs. We dance in the audience!

We then have an appointment with Anthea and Virgil from A-vox for a cool interview. This will be our last of the festival and it was a pleasant moment shared with them. To discover soon on Justfocus!

It is again under the César Circus that we will headbang on the frenetic rock of Last Train, these little French who have built a worldwide reputation in two years. We are not disappointed with the detour and we enjoy their first album, Weathering, released last April, live. Pure happiness!

But the festival is already coming to an end and it is with M and his project Lamomali that it will end. It is difficult to describe the serene, festive atmosphere and the magnificent communion that there was on this end of Solidays.

To see all these faces a little tired but smiling and these bodies lulled by sounds from elsewhere, we can only congratulate the organizers for having once again wonderfully orchestrated this unmissable event in Ile-De-France.
