Adam West died on the night of Friday, June 9 to Saturday, June 10. His family announced the sad news on his Twitter account:

"He was the tallest. He will be greatly missed. We know you will miss him too. »

Despite hundreds of appearances on the small and big screen, as well as a career spanning sixty years, Adam West remained eternally associated with the Batman series that he carried on his shoulders from 1966 to 1968. This series was the first to feature Batman on the small screen. Even today, this deliciously kitsch series continues to feed popular culture on social networks, in the recent Lego Batman Movie or in the exhibition dedicated to the DC universe at the Museum of Play Art. Adam West 's latest project remains linked to his character since he lends his voice for the needs of the animated film Batman VS Two-Faces which will be released in a few weeks in the United States.

William West Anderson of his real name has always assumed this series with benevolence, to the point of participating very regularly in conventions for fans. He had also played Batman in the film, in the feature film released in 1966.
