César 2021: All about the health protocol of the 46th Ceremony

This Friday, March 12, 2021, the organizers of the César will apply the strictest possible health protocol, with an audience reduced to its strictest minimum. Only nominees, presenters and honorees will be invited.

It's official now. This Friday, March 12, the Olympia room that will host the 46th Césars Ceremony which will be almost without public. Only the nominees, the presenters and the honored personalities will be invited during this evening, around Marina Foïs, Master of Ceremonies, and Roschdy Zem, President of the Ceremony. The press, meanwhile, will not be invited: only the partner media should be on site. The Academy of Caesar then indicated in a statement:

"It was absolutely essential, for the Académie des César and Canal+, to maintain this event in honor of all those who fought in 2020 to keep cinema alive despite the crisis we are experiencing.The Academy, Canal+ and Flab Prod, executive producer of the César Ceremony, are working together, in conjunction with the authorities, to set up the strictest possible health protocol. This is in order to welcome and honor the talents of French cinema who will be present at the Olympia, ensure the smooth running of the Ceremony and guarantee the safety of everyone."

At present, we do not yet know the list of Caesars' remitters. However, it seems that Adèle Haenel will not be present at the ceremony, contrary to information conveyed this Sunday in the JDD, and this Monday morning in Le Parisien.
The 46th César Awards will be broadcast free-to-air, live and exclusively on Canal+, Friday, March 12 at 9pm.
