The title of Avengers 4 was reportedly recently revealed. Not officially, certainly, but from a particularly reliable source.

Spoiler alert alert! To read this article, it is better to have seen Avengers – Infinity War. Theories about Avengers 4 are not suitable for those who prefer to see a movie without being spoiled. The worldwide success of the MCU and especially Infinity War has reached enormous proportions. The revelation of the title of the next film thus becomes itself an event.

It must be said that the secrecy surrounding this title has inevitably aroused the curiosity of fans. Marvel has hinted that this could be a form of spoiler regarding the Infinity War finale. But also a clue as to what can be expected from the future.

"They need to digest Infinity War and only then will we be able to reveal the story of the next movie," the Russo brothers said.

Two weeks ago, the Russo brothers posted a snap on Instagram with the following comment: "Look closely…». For many observers, it was the object to the left of the photograph that had to be remembered. Indeed, we can see the Proton Cannon. Already seen in Infinity War it is a devastating weapon used by War Machine in the comics.

However, it is not the weapon to look at, but the painting and the stepladder. These form a capital "A". And according to a reliable source from MCU Cosmic journalists, that would mean the title of the next feature. Whose title could be Avengers: Annihilation. This would make sense after the events that occurred in Infinity War and the probable sacrifices that superheroes will have to make in this new installment.

Many theories have emerged on the internet and at the time of the NYCC, Mark Ruffalo has indulged in a high-level spoiler on the set of Jimmy Fallon.

Just like Tom Holland, Mark Ruffalo was pinned for spoiler facts about Avengers: Infinity WarHe explainedlast year, in an interview that "everyone would die in the end" in order to change his mind on a "no, not everyone" which, at the moment, is quite explicit about what the actor meant.

The host Jimmy Fallon, who received Mark Ruffallo, took advantage of this moment of television become classic to encourage the actor to tell us more about Avengers 4, during a well-crafted teasing campaign. Before the broadcast of the show, Mark Ruffallo has indeed hinted that he had (again) committed a big spoiler, with the express request to Fallon to cut it during editing. Enough to attract fans, especially since the Russo brothers play the game by "firing" via Twitter Mark Ruffallo.

The spoiler continues when the actor then launches into a "description" of scene with Hulk, getting excited and making crates on the stage of the American show, before Fallon interrupts him since he would have said too much.

This choice would follow the logic of the last films that borrowed comic book titles. Civil War, Age of Ultron, Infinity War…Among them, Annihilation is a huge cosmic event. We mainly see the characters of the Guardians of the Galaxy or the Silver Surfer confront Thanos.

It will therefore be necessary to do with this title which will be confirmed or not in the coming weeks.
