Sing "Yesterday" for me is part of Crunchyroll's spring releases, and it's a very good discovery if you haven't looked into it yet.
A realistic scenario, emotions surely already experienced
Four young adults will see their lives and feelings intertwined. 
Rikuo Uozumi comes out of college and finds a small job in a convenience store but he still loves his college friend Shinako Morinome. Shinako Morinome became a teacher after her studies, but she left town and never saw her college friends, including Rikuo. Haru Nonaka drops out of high school and meets Rikuo at his small job at the convenience store. Rō Hayakawa comes from the countryside and studies art, he knows Shinako since childhood. These four people will meet and confront each other with what is everyday life, feelings, work, but also the harsh reality that is not always easy …
Sing "Yesterday" for me: easily identifiable characters
We will, from the first episode, realize that this anime is not going to be easy for our "heart". It is rich in various emotions. You don't feel like you do when you watch a drama. This animated series touches us. It makes us feel emotions that we really go through in life. Situations that we have already known.
We can easily compare a situation we watch in Sing Yesterday for me to a similar time in our lives. Therefore, through these emotions, we feel a strong attachment to certain characters. For others, we start to hate them.
For example, let's take Rikuo who has loved Shinako since college. She is very mysterious for much of the anime. For his part, he is patiently waiting for a return from her.
Haru, a "kawaii" character in the series, who is accompanied by a raven, gives balm to the heart. It makes us laugh sometimes, and breaks our hearts at other times. She loves Rikuo but, as you can see, he does not share her feelings.
Later, Shinako's childhood friend Rō arrives, which will be the perfect opportunity to learn more about her. He, too, is in love with her. Thanks to him, we will learn about his past. A very sad story… It will be difficult to feel more affection for this character. Rō becomes as endearing a character as Haru, thanks to the traits of his personality that he manifests.
They both have a similar way of dealing with their feelings. Whether it's Haru or Rō, they are both rejected, and deal with it with anger at the time, apologizing afterwards. Rikuo and Shinako are quieter and more reserved.
We have Rikuo who knows what he wants, Shinako. But we have Shinako who is manipulative by playing with two men: Rō and Rikuo. She doesn't know what she wants. Many women can find themselves in them. Others will not appreciate his moods. This situation is realistic since we have either already experienced this kind of situation, or we have friends who have been there.
This is the strong point of the series, the realism both in terms of emotions and situations.
Equally important secondary characters
The secondary characters are one of the strengths of the series because they are very well written and important.
Kinoshita is the one who runs the convenience store with Rikuo. He helps her in her complicated relationships. His secondary role is essential, he enlightens our awkward friend in love.
Minato Kōichi appears only once in Haru's life. He helps us understand it. He too has loved someone like Rikuo for a long time and that's Haru. He will understand that she loves Rikuo but will still try his luck not to regret anything. We will understand Haru's motivation which is not to deceive his own feelings. This character will have been important. We hope to see him again because he has been important in the professional rivalry of Rikuo (photography). Chika Yuzuhara, Rikuo's ex-girlfriend, will arrive and make Shinako understand that she has feelings. She will also have had her importance while being adorable and learning things about Rikuo's past. Fukuda, who is Shinako and Rikuo's mutual college friend, will help Rikuo a lot.
