In terms of romantic comedy, China offers us a lot of things all year round, and we must succeed in sorting through everything that might or may not please everyone. In line with recent Chinese romantic dramas to discover, today we are going to talk to you about "Once we get married", released at the end of 2021, and which has just arrived on Rakuten VIKI. A small unpretentious drama that certainly takes up some usual clichés such as marriage under contract, the love triangle, the rich and cold male lead… But then why talk about it? Gu Xi Xi is a young woman whose dream is to be a stylist and open her own shop. With this in mind, she is holding out while waiting for an online store where she serves as an intermediary between seller and buyer, while creating her own clothes. One of his orders leads him to meet Yin Si Chen, cold and distant CEO of a major store brand named "Why Mall". The beginning between the two characters is stormy but they find themselves against their will having to marry and play the happy couple, and therefore to live together. The strengths of this drama are its sympathetic and funny side without sinking into extreme comedy, and the accuracy of the emotions that come out of it. The touch of humor is really present all along, and in the perfect dose to keep smiling. The world of styling and fashion, is very nice to follow, and we see the beginning of the career of the main character of Gu Xi Xi, it's interesting to discover. The twists are multiple, but importantly, they do not last for entire episodes, and that's appreciable. The pace is nevertheless well maintained throughout without problem, without getting bogged down and leaving us in frustration. The clichés are numerous, but again this drama comes out of the game, because for some, it has fun diverting them, and it is very well done. 
Clearly the two main characters hate each other at first, but get to know each other. The evolution of their relationship is just and natural, their chemistry, as in some dramas, such as " My Little Happiness" passes the barrier of the screen, it is undeniable. Regarding their couple, we adhere to the fact that they arrive against all odds to finally go through all the trials together and to draw a true sincere and solid love. In addition, the whole end of the second part of the drama devotes really touching moments to them, we find them cute at will without falling into silliness. Enough to make the little hearts of blue flower people throb. 
Regarding the love triangle: In most series, we are happy to see the male lead come to an end, and the second male role is not necessarily significant. But here, the love triangle is very well done, and it is one of those rare dramas where the second lead is touching and we are almost sorry for him. Conversely, the second female role, which runs after the first male role, is annoying at will, and brings its share of emotions different from all the other characters. 
Finally the secondary couple is a little out of the ordinary with a place made for a careerist woman and it is a nice bonus in this kind of Chinese series. Even if in the end, their couple will not be the most striking thing of this series. ACTORS Wang Zi Qi
Here we find Wang Zi Qi in the role of the male lead. Since 2018 and the drama "Love is in the air", he has several dramas to his credit, and continues his 2022/2023 schedules are still very busy. He is perfect in his role of the cold, distant but also and above all authoritarian, domineering and ultimately even possessive CEO with his girlfriend. We adhere or not, but in the end, it works, and it touches us. 
His on-screen partner is Wang Yu Wen, who has also been doing dramas since 2020. Unlike his partner, his simplicity and kindness jostle him, and it is to be tasted. She has character, and we like that. The two complement each other perfectly and we have nothing to complain about their chemistry on screen. Yi Bai Chen (English name: Ian, also known as Yi En) in the secondary male role. As we said above, he is really touching, and unlike other dramas, we are also sad for him to find himself as the fifth wheel of the carriage. He is really sincere, natural and brings exactly what it takes to his character to remind us that love is not necessarily rosy for everyone. 
And a little wink in the secondary roles, for Yin Si Chen's grandmother, played by Zhang Li Qiu : Her role brings all the freshness and touch of humor that we expected from a comedy. Her character is great, and we can only love her during the few passages where she appears. We will just regret not seeing her more often. In short, if you want a nice romantic comedy, light, not too long, but that will make your little heart throb: Do not hesitate to embark on this Chinese series of 24 episodes. The characters are touching, the couple is believable, there is no endless twist. It's light and entertaining, and romance manages to sweep us away. In short, it's perfect to make a nice parenthesis in this world in perpetual motion.
