While the Marvel Cinematic Universe attracts the biggest celebrities of Hollywood, there is also in its corner a universe that is being built little by little and that would also seem to attract the monsters of cinema. Indeed, after Godzilla (2014) and Kong: Skull Island (2017) with crazy castings, the sequel planned for 2020 during which we will see the two giants face each other but where we can also see the actress Frances McDormand, recently Oscar winner for her role in 3 billboards: the panels of revenge!

The "Monster-Verse" that began with Gareth Edwards' Godzilla will feature monsters that fight and destroy cities for years to come. After the satisfying Godzilla and the correct but not flawless Kong: Skull Island in 2017, Legendary Pictures has understood that the monster movie pays off and that the genre still has an active and important audience. After the success of Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim in 2013, the monsters are back in the cinema but are also surrounded by sacred monsters of cinema.

In the cast of these films, we were able to see Bryan Crangston in Godzilla but also and especially Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and Thomas Hiddleston in Kong: Skull Island.
With such castings, we can only expect to see beautiful people join the cast of the sequel to Godzilla scheduled for 2019 and especially for the confrontation between the monkey and the giant lizard scheduled for 2020.

However, it seems that rumors are starting to flow around the project and that the latest one affirms the presence of actress Frances McDormand in the next King Gong VS Godzilla. The actress recently praised and rewarded for her role in 3 Billboards: The panels of revenge, seems to be heading towards a more mainstream cinema. Yet known for her precise career choices and often close to independent cinema, this decision could further broaden the legitimacy of the monster film by giving it much greater visibility.

In any case, if her performance is up to the one she was able to give in Fargo or in 3 billboards: The panels of revenge, we can expect to see a monster of the cinema next to the other giant monsters! Then, a clash between King Kong and Godzilla and with Frances McDormand in the middle, we say yes and we look forward to it!
