Ghost Of Christmas is in Paris to present his EP "Awake" and it's the beautiful discovery of the week.
Martin Mey, TeeTwo Mariani and Gaël Blondeau. This trio, originally from the Marseille and Toulon regions, forms Ghost of Christmas. Since 2013, the three boys have been using their complicity to develop this joint project and offer an organic and sensual bass music.
"Awake", an EP on Laurent Garnier's label
After a fully instrumental EP (downloadable for free ) and a remix of the track "Let me Down (Don't)" by Husbands, the band released, last December, "Awake", an EP of 5 tracks, available both in digital and 33T.
Both minimal and melancholic, their compositions draw their inspiration from blues, soul music and English garage. Soaring and hypnotic, this first EP takes you on a nice journey while gentle and sensitive.
Signed on Laurent Garnier's label, Sounds Like Yeah (SLY), Ghost of Christmas has just released the captivating teaser of the title "Gold In Your Hands", directed by Gabin Rivoire.
Live sessions and two concerts in Paris
At the end of January and after a first Marseille date last Saturday, the trio is passing through the capital. At the beginning of the week, it's time for live sessions with appearances on France Inter, in "Le Nouveau Rendez-Vous" on the 25th, on Findspire on the 26th and on Le Mellotron on January 27th.
This Parisian getaway will end with two important dates not to be missed. Indeed, Ghost Of Christmas will perform live for two concerts: the 28th at Badaboum and the 29th at the Pop-Up of the Label.
These various events will be an opportunity to discover this young band full of talent who in an EP has already conquered us. There is no doubt that on stage, the trio will be as captivating. Ghost Of Christmas is certainly worth a look as much as an ear and it is our nice electronic-eclectic discovery of this beginning of the year. To follow very carefully!
