There are loyal actresses. This is the case of Kathy Bates, who, in addition to participating for four seasons in American Horror Story, joins Ryan Murphy's new anthology, Feud.

Commissioned by the American channel FX last May and scheduled for fall 2017, Feud is the new creation of Ryan Murphy, to whom we already owe Glee, American Horror Story and American Crime Story. Presented in the form of an anthology, this series will feature famous rivalries. Note that the series will be produced by a certain Brad Pitt !

The first season will focus on the conflict between the two Hollywood actresses Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, during the filming of the cult film What Happened to Baby Jane?, released in 1962. The script is based on the book Best Actresses, by Jaffe Cohen and Michael Zam, as well as Bette and Joan: The Divine Feud, released in 2000 and written by Shaun Considine.

We already knew that the role of Joan Crawford would be played by the delightful Jessica Lange, and that that of Bette Davis would be played by Susan Sarandon. We should also find in the cast of this first season Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sarah Paulson.

We learn today that the one we know for her interpretations of Marie-Delphine LaLaurie, Ethel Darling, Iris and recently the Butcher in the last four seasons of American Horror Story, Kathy Bates, joins the regular cast of this new anthology.

She will be Joan Blondell, actress nominated for an Oscar in 1952 for her role in the film The Blue Veil and confidante of the character of Bette Davis. She is an actress who over the course of a five-decade career has appeared in nearly one hundred films, including Grease and The Cincinnati Kid.

We can't wait to discover this new series, wishing Ryan Murphy the same success as on these previous shows.

In the meantime, you can find the last episodes of the sixth season of American Horror Story: Roanoke until November 16 on FX.
