Femi Kuti delivers in February his tenth album, which corresponds to the twenty years of Fela's death. The first One People One World music video was released, delivering a beautiful message of unity.

Here is the return of Femi with one of his best albums, and which marks a return to traditional afrobeat. Those who have followed his career and know his music know it: Femi Kuti has never been content to be the son of King Fela, a key figure of Afrobeat. After emancipating himself from his father's fold in 85 to create an independent band, The Positive Force, he applied himself to finding his own voice. He has become, since the 90s, a full-fledged artist with a singular and nuanced style. Saxophonist like his father, he brilliantly perpetuates the Afrobeat tradition and delivers a message of unity and liberation of Africa.

In discovery, the clip of One People One World:

The music video for One People One World was shot in Lagos, during the Felabration 2017 which was a special event since it celebrated the 20th anniversary of Fela's disappearance. In tribute to his father, Femi Kuti wanted to make a simple and sincere clip to illustrate his message of appeasement and unity. He thus takes over from the famous slogan erected by his father: Music is the weapon of the future. One People, One World is pure Afrobeat, with powerful brass lines, that Femi created for the band by accelerating the tempo, leading everything forward, at a frantic pace. This new album is still political but, for the first time, there are love songs and our humanity is celebrated there. "Yes, the music is more exhilarating, more optimistic," Femi says.
