Caballero and Jean Jass at PanPiper

They're hot, they're boiling! And yes, Caballero and JeanJass were in Paris in November at Pan Piper for a concert where we gushed like kids at Disneyland. The two rappers are not their first collaboration. They notably released in 2014 an EP "Le pont de la Reine" produced jointly with Le Seize. The two Brussels residents merge again for a hybrid EP "Double hélice". The prods "Americanize", and we love it!

    Double helix, their new EP

In total it is ten titles that make up the album. Some of their title even exceed thousands of views on Youtube. The EP walks on sounds sometimes posed, sometimes rap and boom-bap. In addition, we will salute the Spanish-speaking vocabulary that slips discreetly at times to rhyme zero and dinero.

There are many collaborators for the prods: BBL, Mowley, Hugz Hefner or Nacho. JeanJass produces or co-produces even 4 titles with Le Seize. The instrumental side of the thing is not left to chance and is provided by Vince Romeo or Antoine who swing brass and guitar. The scratches are signed Eskondo. In short, a maximum of talent for a flight that would be, we are told, still traveling. It seems that these are the most efficient propellers on the market at the moment.

2016, a great year for Caballero and JeanJass!

If you were born in the 90s, the texts will speak to you better than anyone else. Rap, success, drugs, girls, weed, neighborhood, friends, ambition, life fantasies, luxury, cons… the list goes on. The lyrics are on genius, take the seed because you have to shout at the concerts. And what concerts! Already seen at Canal 93 in Bobigny a few weeks before, the duo has a most remarkable energy and presence on stage

An exceptional concert in Paris in November

That Saturday night, it was Christmas early. A first part provided by Josman and full of small surprise gifts. At the foot of the tree there were: Alpha Wann, Lomepal, Hologram, Tony la Fripe, Keroué or the famous Elvis Romeo and his featuring with Caballero "Brussels arrives". Yes Brussels is coming, Brussels is very productive at the moment. The machine turns and sends us, Paris, the rappers who make up the francophone rap scene today. What is certain, and which we certify, is the talent of these young people to whom the future holds, we hope, a long and beautiful journey.

    Thank you very much!
