Not interested in museums? The word museum alone gives you liver attacks? JustFocus has found the perfect compromise! The "gourmet" chocolate museum Choco Story Paris.

At the end of this year when chocolate is on all tables, let's take a look at its entire history from its origin to its current manufacture.

Every year, the French eat about 390,000 tons of chocolate, or just under 7 kilos per inhabitant… although I suspect some people eat more.

I don't know anyone who is really indifferent to chocolate! So why not take an interest in its history and manufacture? SPOILER ALERT: at least it doesn't make you fat. You can therefore abuse it generously!

Eating a square of chocolate a day keeps the doctor away? Let's check this with Choco-Story.

What can I say about this beautiful museum without revealing too much? The museum extends over three floors: One floor, one room, one theme but above all simple and precise explanations full of funny and atypical anecdotes. The escape into the world of chocolate is perfect via a very well documented and educational initiation.

In the first room, we discover and learn the origin of cocoa beans. 2600 years ago, chocolate was considered for the Mayans as "the food of the gods". This space explains the mystical rites of the Mayans and Aztecs, illustrated by beautiful authentic objects.

Cocoa was very valuable. At the time, a rabbit cost 10 cocoa beans and a slave, 100 beans… Resolution for 2017: Prioritize my dating according to their value in chocolate bar hazelnut chips.

The second room is devoted to the arrival of chocolate in Europe and especially in France. Its gradual integration of Mexico on our plates has no secrets for us……… Yum! The museum has beautiful collections of objects used to consume and serve chocolate. The exhibits are magnificent. I absolutely need the same services at home. #kitchalert

The oldest will find on this floor with pleasure advertisements of yesteryear.

Santa Claus, here's a clue. Thank you

The third room probably the most appreciated by gourmets! A manufacturing demonstration with a chef is proposed to us. This opens our sense of smell and taste buds and we immediately become more assiduous!

The workshop is nice and the creations in chocolate. More precisely, the imposing sculptures are truly amazing.

Conclusion: The visit of the museum is exciting to discover the little known history of this product that is chocolate from the bean to the bar.

For your foreign friends, the explanations are in English and Spanish, and if you want to go with your children, it is also possible because everything is explained in toy version with a treasure hunt to do.

The density of the elements is sufficient, and allows to appreciate the history of chocolate.

It's quite amusing to discover that in its early days, chocolate was spicy before it was sweet, whereas nowadays it's the other way around.

Don't forget to stop by the shop and fall for chocolate in all forms.
