Cerrone, the French disco prodigy signs his comeback with "Funk Makossa". Accompanied by his clip, this track is taken from his new EP entitled "Afro" which will be released on February 12th .   Afro - Cerrone It's a name that for many is reminiscent of the crazy 70s. Marc Cerrone is a bit like the father of disco in France. A musician, composer, producer and even writer, he is a musical genius. Equally well known across the Channel, he has sold more than 30 million albums and won no less than five Grammy Awards with titles like "Superrnature", "Love in C Minor" and "Give Me Love". A consecration for this kid from Vitry-sur-Seine who has collaborated with the greatest like Nile Rodgers or Earth Wind & Fire. No wonder he is at the origin of huge concerts such as the bicentenary of the French Revolution Place de la Concorde, the Dance Party Live in Versailles or the Los Angeles Millennium Celebration.   It is with "Afro", an ode to Africa and its frenzied rhythms, the musician's first love, that Cerrone makes his return. While the EP is scheduled for February 12, the Frenchman unveiled his first track on Tuesday, January 19. Entitled "Funk Makossa", it is accompanied by a glowing clip of African dances. For this piece, he enlisted the services of Manu Dibango, Cameroonian virtuoso saxophone and vocals. A disco tone on an African rhythm, here is a successful mix that promises us a dancing and colorful EP. No, the father of disco is not about to stop there. As a reminder, the title "2nd Chance" is already available for pre-order.
