The American progressive djent/metal band Animals As Leaders shared, via their facebook page, a new track: The Brain Dance.

This title will be part of their 4th album, The Madness of Many, which will be released on November 11 via Sumerian Records.

To hear the words djent or progressive metal we expect angry guitar riffs and drums that are just as much. However, the band manages to surprise us with a quiet piece, where the guitar reminds us of late summer jazz songs. Everything is superimposed on a structure of piece still quite complex but which does not torture our mind: we appreciate the beauty of the music itself and this is where Animals As Leaders proves once again that it is a band full of talent.

This aspect was already found in Nephele, from Joy of Motion, their previous album (2014). At 1:14, the mood of the song changes completely.

The group, formed in 2007, continues to evolve. The mechanical guitars of their self-titled debut album Animals As Leaders (2009) give way to a broader and less artificial sound, which will develop over their albums.

Their music is still instrumental, carried by the three members of the band, Tosin Abasi (guitar), Javier Reyes (guitar) and Matt Garstka (drums).

Animals As Leaders will be on American tour from November with the bands Plini and Intervals and should probably spend next year in France. The band had recently given concerts, last July in several cities of France.
