    A crime comedy

    Gentle Bitter Blood

Adapted from the novel "Bita Buraddo" by Shusuke Shizukui, Bitter Blood stands out for its potential for comedy and thanks to the humor of its characters. The story is unadorned, with not really enough to torture the brain in investigations (often quite simple, even useless sometimes). It is by playing on this lightness and the daily life of police officers that we get caught up in the game, by discovering the protagonists and the daily work of a police officer. With this drama we have enough to spend a good time relaxing with our Japanese duo. A humor that wants to be potache, childish and complicit in misunderstandings putting this family (that's how this fine team imagines) to the test but, always ready to fight or help anyone! Natsuki and Hitomi will both quickly understand that solidarity, team spirit and communication are essential skills for their new job but also in their daily lives. We appreciate seeing the relationship evolve between the two recruits, that of father and son, but also that of this family and his relatives.

    A close-knit family

Bitter Blood E11.mkv_002673870Let us now return to this police division where each member has his strong point and weaknesses but also knows how to bounce back. When we talked about family, it was also about nicknames for its members. Team leader Kensuke Kagiyama aka Kagiyama works a lot of overtime, loves his job at the expense of his family and especially his son. Hisashi Koga aka Bachelor, the best shooter in the police station, is still single looking for a wife, hence his nickname. Toshifumi Inaki aka Chaser is a spinning genius and a great maniac seeking perfection. Kaoru Togashi aka Skunk is the best interrogator in the division but, has very bad breath which forces the criminals to confess quickly. Koji Takano aka Taka, the seducer of the gang and the one who gave them their nicknames. Akimura Shimao aka Gentle for his gentleman side and the brand of coffee (Gentle coffee) he likes. Finally, Natsuki Sahara aka Junior being a novice in the middle and Hitomi Maeda aka Hitomi the only woman in the gang. Everyone will get to know each other and we enjoy seeing this band of happy lions in action!

    Seriousness under the shell

oikawamitsuhiro_bitterbloodOf course, we must not forget the main theme of Bitter Blood: investigations. Which are numerous ranging from simple shadowing, hostage-taking or a bomb threat. And yes, even if humor is the driving force of the drama, we can not decently forget the investigations, we are in a police station. But, there is still a little seriousness in all this, otherwise would it be a detective drama? The common thread throughout the plot is built around the mysterious lame man with glasses, Takehisa Kaizuka. A character who seems to resent Junior and his father. He is also linked in one way or another to the death of Suichi Maeda (Hitomi's father). A bit crazy and psychopathic, Kaizuka in order to carry out his revenge will give the whole team the son to twist pushing them to make sometimes difficult choices. The seizure of the police station is also the culmination in the relationship of the two men evoked with always a touch of humor but, finally bringing them closer! A drama that brings its share of surprise and laughter while making us spend a pleasant moment in front of our small screen.
