Blanche Gardin, a comedian who has already become cult

Blanche Gardin grew up in a bourgeois environment but became an educator in the suburbs of Paris after a degree in sociology. She is spotted by Canal + and thus participates in the Vrai Journal. It was during this television show that she met Jamel Debouzze. Following this meeting, she participated in the first season of the Jamel Comedy Club. Blanche Gardin performed for 3 years with this troupe. She then worked on various television projects, the most important being the series WorkinGirls. She is also interested in cinema by dubbing the Chihuahua of Beverly Hills (2009) and playing in Case Départ (2011). In 2015, she played her first one man show Il faut que je vous parle.

But it was with the stand up I speak alone, that his solo career exploded in 2017. She received the Molière for best comedy show, as well as for Bonne nuit Blanche in 2018. She has distinguished herself for her black, squeaky and satirical humor. Since the show Je parle toute seul, she has become a reference in the world of French comedy.

What should we expect in this book?

Nathalie Simon, a journalist working in the culture section of Le Figaro, is interested in Blanche Gardin's atypical career. The journalists of Le Figaro state that "this story of a life was built from the solid testimonies of those who have known it since its beginnings. It reveals the complexity of the character for whom making humor is not necessarily funny every day." The author returns to the childhood and adolescence of the comedian. She also talks about her rise and comments on her performances. In the first chapter, the writer describes a key moment in Blanche Gardin's career: the 30th Molières ceremony in May 2018. During this event, she received the Molière for best comedy show for her show Je parle toute seul. And we can say that her acceptance speech (moreover, a prize that she gives to herself) had marked the spirits.

The journalist tries through this book to draw the most complete portrait of the humorist who has been a hit for 3 years.

For all fans of Blanche Gardin, this book is a good opportunity to learn more about her journey. Blanche Gardin will be starring in the film Erase History on August 26. You can also find here some of his best sketches.
