Tartuffe: one of the best-known pieces of the classical repertoire, so much so that this name has passed into everyday language to designate a character steeped in hypocrisy The story, in brief? Orgon head of the family confused with stupidity and naivety, a real puppet, has fallen under the thumb of a false devotee, Tarfuffe, an impostor who has become his director of conscience, to whom he promised his daughter Marianne, but who actually tries to seduce his wife, Elmire, and aspires to rob him. Dorine, Marianne's servant, will orchestrate the women's revolt against Tartuffe's sprawling grip and Orgon's naïve stupidity. Tartuffe – when women take power: Grégoire Aubert's bold bet to adapt Molière's masterpiece in 1h15 of representation, making us laugh, move us, think…

  • A very original piece respecting the admirable alexandrines of Molière thanks to the judicious choices of the author
  • A perfect respect for the plot and the plot. But with three women who take turns portraying the female characters, as well as Tartuffe and Orgon, wearing masks from the commedia dell'arte.
  • A lively piece, punctuated by musical moments and danced by three excellent actresses, Théodora Carla, Anaïs Khaizourane, Sophie Millon, who alternate with ease all the roles of the play, with a beautiful energy and in a perfect symbiosis.
  • Hilarious scenes, of a burning sensuality or a real philosophical reflection.

After this long period of theatrical scarcity, what a joy to find Orgon, dazed since he became stubborn with Tartuffe, whose words sound to him like oracles! What a joy to find Tartuffe animated by the holy fervor of true zeal, but unable to reason with the heavenly bait of Elmire! What a joy to find Elmire, resisting Tartuffe's urgent advances with rare subtlety. What a joy to find Dorine for whom the time is always long from the project to its realization! What a joy to find Madame Pernelle, Tartuffe's mother, according to whom tongues always have venom to spread! In total, an adaptation of Tartuffe based on a variation of genres, a mixture of universes, styles. This patchwork is terribly ingenious, intelligent, creative, rhythmic, full of humor!
