Arrow season 4 ended with Oliver and Darkh's final battle. But if you think Star City is safe again, you're wrong!
Every season, its villain! If you're a fan of the comics, you've probably been waiting for it: the Spectre will be the new villain of season 5! The Spectre was supposed to appear in the series Constantine, spin-off of the series of the famous archer but, following its cancellation, CW decided to make him appear in season 5 of Arrow.
Indeed, CW had wanted to maintain the presence of Constantine (the one who gave certain powers to Oliver by marking him with a tattoo) in season 4 of Arrow in order to integrate a storyline thereafter.
This stoyline concerns the Spectre, also known as "The Spirit of the Avenger".This character is actually named James Corrigan and as the name suggests, he would be there to avenge the death of the tragic and brutal death of one of his relatives. Opinions differ regarding his role, mainly because it seems that the series does not really follow the original story released in 1940. In theory, James Corrigan would have been executed in a mafia style and his spirit would have survived and returned to Earth to avenge his death. In other versions, his spirit returns to avenge his death as well as that of his fiancée, who died at the same time and in the same way as him.
We are waiting for more information on the role of this Spectre but, what is certain, is that Star City will experience a wave of mystical events… again.
