The American streaming giant Netflix is renewing itself, and launches for the first time into an original creation straight from Denmark.
The Rain, the new Netflix series made in Scandinavia
The Rain is the name of this highly anticipated and promising new science fiction series, created by Esben Toft Jacobsen and Jannik Tai Mosholmt. In this work, the gaze is set on a brother and a sister, left to fend for themselves, 6 years after the devastation of half the Scandinavian population ravaged by a deadly virus. They travel the world with the help of a booklet left by their father, trying to find shelter in a world at risk. After perilous adventures, the two teenagers finally join another group of young survivors…
This new series "made in Denmark" very expensive and ambitious, will bring together Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, Alba August, Lucas Lyng, Lars Simonsen and Iben Hjejle, all local actors.
Note that Netflix has now unveiled it, this long-awaited new project will be available from May 4 on the American platform. The Rain will consist of eight episodes of 52 minutes each.
