The series will return in April 2018, in three months!

The Handmaid's Tale caused a stir when it was released last April and the series was heavily awarded at the Golden Globes and Emmy Awards, as was its lead actress, Elisabeth Moss. Season 2 will return a year after the premiere, more precisely on April 25, 2018, on the American streaming platform Hulu. The first two episodes will air on this date and the rest of the season will be released at the rate of one episode per week. Note that this season will be composed of 13 episodes, that is to say three more than for season 1!

As a reminder, the series takes place in a dystopian universe where the US government has taken an inordinate control of the population following a significant decline in fertility among humanity. The women are then sorted into three categories: the Wives, in charge of the home and often infertile, the Marthas, responsible for the maintenance of the houses, and the Handmaids, fertile women used as an object of reproduction for couples wishing a child. June, the young woman we follow, was placed with the Handmaids after trying to flee to Canada and having her daughter forcibly taken from her.

This second season of The Handmaid's Tale will pick up where we left off Offred (June of her real name) and the others. We will closely follow the pregnancy of our favorite servant as well as her quest to find her daughter. It is not impossible that we also go to discover the famous colonies, which we heard about in the first season but that we have never been able to have before our eyes.
