The Clone Wars: Darth Maul even more badass than Vader in Rogue One

Remember Vader slaughtering rebels in Rogue One – A Star Wars Story? What would you say about the same scene with Darth Maul, but even more badass? It's no secret since Solo – A Star Wars Story: Darth Maul survived his first duel against Obi-Wan. And this character has not stopped shining since his return. In The Clone Wars of course, but also in Star Wars Rebels. With the final season of The Clone Wars currently airing on Disney+, we've all been waiting to reunite with the former Sith Lord. And we were not disappointed! Maul decided to slaughter an entire squad of Clones, with the same ease Vader did for the rebels. Better! He does it without a lightsaber. Only because of his mastery of the Force and his usual brutality. The icing on the cake: this takes place during order 66. Suffice to say that it does not make us want to see the clones survive. Does Maul deserve his own series?

Maul became an instantly cult character with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. And to kill him so quickly was considered a waste of monumental potential. Bringing him back in The Clone Wars was therefore an opportunity to restore his image. Exploited to its fair extent in The Clone Wars, in Rebels , as well as in many books and comics, Maul never ceases to please the public. So why not dedicate his own animated series to him? After all, there would still be much to tell. His childhood on Dathomir, his training with Palpatine, his activities with crime syndicates, his hiding during the period of the Empire, his search for ancient Sith temples, his relationship with Qi'ra (Solo – A Star Wars Story)… There is no shortage of stories to tell. It would even have been nice to see him land live-action in The Mandalorian, again opposite Ahsoka Tano. But his death a few years earlier in Star Wars Rebels blocks this opportunity. And to bring him back from the dead a second time would be a very bad idea. Because the conclusion of this character in season 3 of Rebels was simply beautiful. In the meantime, you can discover the final episode of The Clone Wars tomorrow on the Disney+ platform. All accompanied by a making-of of the series The Mandalorian. And yes, it was necessary for May 4, special Star Wars day ("May The Fourth Be With You"). So enjoy the first week free on Disney+ if you want to watch everything.
