The Kassos are back for a fifth season, available on Canal + since Monday, March 29, and soon in free service on YouTube. While season 4 had opted to leave the office of the social worker to go to other horizons, Balak, the creator of the show, preferred to bring her back for this new season. Faced with the negative criticism of the previous season, the social worker returned from her stay in Martinique. And for the best.
The Kasos are back
In 2013, Balak imagined Les Kassos. It is an animated series for adults that derives the greatest characters of pop culture. Through a very short format of 2 minutes, it parodies the great popular figures like Dragon Ball Z, Inspector Gadget, Pokemon, The Teletubbies, so on and the best. At the time, this unpretentious series aroused enormous enthusiasm. Today, the Kassos' YouTube channel has 500 million views and more than 2 million subscribers. Helped by voices recognizable among a thousand like those of Mr Octopus or Bat and Gael, Les Kassos are back for a season 5 directly on Canal +. 
After a stint at Netflix with Vermin, Balak is back on The Kassos. And the decision to bring the social worker back paid off. This new lap is explosive, and much more convincing than the previous season. Balak goes back to basics and offers more successful episodes than each other. The trashy humor is obviously at the rendezvous, and is often pushed to its paroxysm. Even if Balak sometimes falls a little too much into scatophile humor, he nevertheless offers some beautiful flights of writing.
Unforgettable episodes
Because in addition to the return of fundamentals like Asterix and Obelix, or the rabbit of the RATP, Balak has new ideas and stages new characters. Thus, we will remember the hilarious appearance of Dwayne Johnson as Big Pebble. An intelligent caricature that serves its purpose and especially several connected episodes.
