Less than a year after the release of his album Civilisation, Orelsan adds 10 tracks to complete an album already completed and validated by the critics. We came back to the genesis of the album, in part 1 of this article , which we invite you to read, if you have not already done so. In this 2nd part of the article, we will analyze and we will give you our feelings about these 10 new songs that form the album Lost Civilization. At the end of our 1st part, we were with an Orelsan who is looking for inspiration, while his models were not retained by his acolytes. We also learned that a featuring with Adele was to take place, but did it see the light of day? Several questions remained unanswered as the rapper released the reissue of Civilization. 
Orelsan adds 10 titles to Civilisation
A reissue that is totally a surprise. Indeed, after the success of the album, no one could have predicted that the artist would release a reissue of it. And above all, barely a year after Civilization arrived in stores. But then, what are these 10 new tracks added to the original album worth?
Unreleased tracks?
We discovered in part 2 of the documentary "Montre jamais ça à personne", dedicated to Orelsan, the development of the album. It was also an opportunity for us to hear models, which the rapper had tested solo. Drafts that had finally not been retained for Civilization. But, to our surprise, it is these models that we find on the reissue. Orelsan therefore takes the risk of offering us titles that have not been validated during the creation of the album. Titles that seemed to be only drafts in the documentary. Titles that didn't seem to be meant to exist outside the artist's studio. Other surprises for fans, the presence of the featuring with Adèle, which for lack of time could not be added to the original album. Enough to make our mouths water, but what are these famous models worth?
Our piecemeal analysis
First of all, we meet when reading the tracklist that each song has the mention CP_000_ before the title, an indication that is usually used for demos. Which gives us a little more the impression that Orelsan has decided to assume the model side of this new opus. 
This reissue begins with an introduction that reminds us of the theme of the album: destroy to rebuild better. The song begins with a piano voice that will gradually give way to an instrumental that sounds electro. Through this title, the artist invites us to rebuild our world from scratch or almost, so that the human being evolves and tries not to make the same mistakes again. In the second track " The Adventures of MiniSan ", Orelsan presents us with a counter-version of " The Quest ". Here we have the hidden side of the song "the quest", the artist takes the elements of his piece with a darker point of view. It is a piece, in which we follow the rapper's childhood journey and where he confides his childhood wounds to us. Then comes the song "Toujours perdu quand même", in which we find the pen of the young Orelsan that we knew on his first albums. Through punchlines and comic phrases, we share the doubts, insecurities and questions of the singer. "Just a Last Drink" is an alternative version of "Last Drink". In this version, Orelsan highlights the benefits of fidelity and shows us that grass is not greener elsewhere, on the contrary. "Ok… super… " is a kind of call to simplicity and honesty. This piece highlights the hypocrisy of our society and the fact that we give importance to things that are not really interesting. "Ha la France" is a combination of prejudices and paradoxes that stick to the skin of the inhabitants of our country. "Breaking Point" is an alternate version of "Together". In both tracks, the rapper evokes the difficulties of life as a couple. In "Together", he highlights the good sides of life together to stay with his partner. Whereas in "Breaking Point", it is the bad sides that are illuminated, as well as the fact that breaking up is difficult. "Us against the world" is a message to the child that Orelsan would like to have. He expresses his desire for fatherhood and a better world for future generations. "Obviously", the long-awaited featuring of the Belgian rapper and singer Adèle is dedicated to perseverance. The 2 artists develop in this piece the fact that there is no result without patience and work. This reissue ends with the track "On a gagné", the artist makes a recap of his career, what he accomplished, succeeded with his team, despite the galleys, a hymn to victory in the end. This title is the perfect answer to the song "The fear of failure", outro of his first album, in which the singer evoked his anxieties of not succeeding his ambitions.
Our opinion
Orelsan adds 10 tracks to Civilisation, which creates an album that deserves to be listened to to get to know the character and the man better. It is true that musically this album is not the most successful and best finished rapper, but this is filled by the human and simple side that comes out. The singer lays himself bare and shares "his life" with us. Between the documentary and the sincerity of the lyrics, we really feel like we participated in the album, like a friend who watches without intervening.
The press not very tender with this reissue
If we advise you to discover this reissue, despite the model side a little raw. We can not say, on the other hand, that the press pushes to listen to the album. Le Monde describes this reissue as "embarrassing". The article describes Always lost anyway, Ok great, Ah the France… as "musically very weak". According to him, "The Adventures of MiniSan looks like an even more childish version of the title The Quest." This article, like that of France Info, evokes a "private joke" that would appeal only to fans of the artist and those who have seen the documentary.
Incredible numbers
Orelsan adds 10 tracks for an album "Lost Civilization" which is a huge success. The reason? Fans of the rapper were able to rediscover the tracks of the album and the 10 unreleased tracks. This makes 25 titles in total. During the first week of operation, Orelsan decided to reveal the figures of its album "civilization ultimate edition". A figure that then rises to 44,268 sales for this reissue.It's unbelievable! Few rappers can boast of having done so much! This represents 29,380 physical copies, 726 downloads, and 14,162 in streaming equivalents. 
Since the figures continue to increase, over the year 2022, Civilisation reaches 405,000 sales, based in particular on the reissue of Civilisation. For an impressive total of 743,000 sales (338,000 in 2021 + 405,000 in 2022). To our delight, Orelsan adds 10 tracks to an already incredible album. Demos, drafts, drafts or not really worked pieces, but which allow us to learn more about the rapper. A rapper who becomes more human musically, but who from a sales point of view, confirms that he is a mega star.
