On Thursday, November 8, the world premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald took place. Organized in Paris, the event allowed to learn more about the continuation of the adventures of Norbert Dragonneau. These taking place precisely in… Paris. For the occasion, the film team and J.K. Rowling were present to introduce the new opus that will be released on November 14.
The setting could not be more sumptuous, more magical. On November 8 at Bercy Village, fans are many to have made the trip. While a mass has formed on the side of the guest entrance, people near the red carpet are trembling with impatience. They are waiting for the arrival of the film team, composed of the main actors, the director and the producer. Even J.K. Rowling, the creator of the Harry Potter universes, is in the game. All participate in the event of the month: the world premiere of the sequel to Fantastic Beasts.
A bewitching and bewitching décor
Everything was ready to welcome the stars of David Yates' new film at the UGC Ciné Cité in Bercy. The red carpet was rolled out and the fans, trembling with impatience, wore their best costume despite the cold. The set was composed of giant wands lined up all along the red carpet and a gigantic screen integrated into the front of the cinema. This screen made it possible to broadcast live the images of the evening until the projection of the film in the theaters. These installations, thought out down to the smallest detail, were perfectly in harmony with the event but also with the film itself. Indeed, The Crimes of Grindelwald take place in Paris.
An (almost) complete team
Although scheduled for 6:30 p.m., the launch of the evening has been delayed. Never mind, this does not prevent the film team from arriving on the scene with enthusiasm. Those present were able to recognize the main characters such as Eddie Redmayne (Norbert Dragonneau), Katherine Waterston (Tina Golstein), Dan Folger (Jacob Kowalsky), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein) or Ezra Miller (Bellebosse Creed). This one also made a great impression because of his outfit rather … Singular. All of them played the game as soon as they got out of their vehicles by signing autographs to the people waiting for them and posing in front of the many photographers on site. They are not the only ones to have complied with this exercise. Just like their comrades, the newcomers in this second opus also appeared, impeccable, smiling and relaxed. For this preview, Zoë Kravitz (Leta Lestrange), Jude Law (Albus Dumbledore), Callum Turner (Theseus Dragon) or Claudia Kim (Nagini) did not hesitate to go in front of the fans and give interviews to the journalists present for the occasion. Only big absentee of the evening, Johnny Depp, the interpreter of the black mage Grindelwald.

Paris, one of J.K. Rowling
The evening could not be complete without the presence of the creator of Fantastic Beasts. J.K. Rowling also made the trip to the French capital. After meeting the Potterheads (the name of Harry Potter fans) in person, it is in excellent French that the novelist spoke. "I spent a year in Paris when I was a student and it remains one of my favorite places in the world," says J.K. Rowling not without some emotion. I love the French Harry Potter fans who have been wonderful to me for years. The writer, after warm applause from the crowd, ends her speech, still in French, hoping that the film will be appreciated.
If only a privileged few were able to attend the world premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, it should be noted that the event was broadcast in several cinemas around the France. While waiting for the official release of the film, other previews are also scheduled for Tuesday, November 13.
