Hocus Pocus: Disney releases its three sisters after 29 years As I put the film on the occasion of the release of the second opus, a myriad of reminiscences, hints of nostalgia come back to me from previous viewings over the last twenty years; when Binx calls his sister, when we hear the angelic and singing voice of Sarah Jessica Parker. Hocus Pocus – "Look, another bright morning! It makes me want to vomit" Upon release in 1993, it suffered unfair competition from Jurassic Park and was, therefore, a failure; It acquires a cult status a little late on the video market. The deliciously wacky and exuberant witches are each in their own way brilliant, one being accorte, the other being toquée. In addition to witches there are also young people with whom one can easily identify thanks to the extortion of the little bullies, the conflictual relationship between brother and sister and the difficulties of integration. In short, an excellent footage for the first Halloweens.
Hocus Pocus 2 – "I come across three grannies gothic version"
The three Sanderson sisters are back and even with the evolution of special effects, they are similar to those of 1993. It is a real nostalgic pleasure to find their pantomimes. The scenario is more deepened, exploring the sisterhood with the help of memories or the relationship between the three girlfriends, even if it takes an identical starting point. Nevertheless, teenage girls are a little drunk and wokism, insidiously disseminated, continues to ravage Disney.
