The MotoGP eSport Championship: the 2018 edition will be more intense!

The eSport competition on MotoGP returns with the MotoGP eSport Championship 2018! On the program, more events, more platforms to compete on and more show than ever. This season, the competition will take place on three platforms to award the title of world champion: PS4, PC and Xbox One !

To make your mouth water, here is a little teaser :

The tests now increase to eight! From 18 July, the first 4 events will take place at COTA, Sachsenring, Losail and the Red Bull Ring, until August. The first semi-finals will take place live at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, 12 players will compete!

The next 4 events will take place at Phillip Island, Mugello, Sepang and Buriram in September and October, with a live event for the second semi-final, which will be held at the Movistar eSports Center in Madrid on November 2nd. 12 players will compete for a place in the final.

The Grand Final of the MotoGP season will take place in Valencia on 16 November. The first prize for the winner of the MotoGP eSport Championship will be a BMW M240i Coupé, and other surprises that are unique!

The 24 players who have reached one of the semi-finals will be able to represent an official GP team, starting on the starting line with the colors and bike of the selected team.

The MotoGP eSport Championship will build on the all-new MotoGP18 game, which is scheduled to arrive on June 7, 2018 on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam (and Switch thereafter). Last year, for the season launch of the MotoGP eSport Championship gathered more than 15,000 hours of play around the world, or more than 2.5 million km covered. The season was launched in July 2018, it was based on 6 online events with finals in Valencia among the 16 most skilled players in the world. It was the Italian Trastevere73, 18 years old, who was crowned world champion.

  • 2.5 million views
  • 25 million spectators to follow the championship
  • 75 million people on different online networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Twitch, YouTube and the official MotoGP eSport website)
