The time seems to be for renewal in the world of musical ceremonies. Launched this Thursday, March 31, the Joséphine des artistes prize aims to support French musical artistic profusion.

An award for music people, by music people

The ambition of its founders, Frédéric Junqua and Christophe Palatre, is notonly to promote the artistic excellence of French works, but also to highlight the richness and diversity of the contemporary musical landscape. The current music scene is experiencing a real revitalization withdeeply hybrid émergents.es artists and the birth of new artistic trends. How to account for it? By getting out of the yoke of the actors of the industry and leaving the decision-making power to the people closest to creation: the artists themselves. c0dc1b c6df9782d195421dbc78b7f6ed3b95f5 mv2 The Joséphine Artist Award, the new independent music award

Ensure an overview of French artistic production

The objective of this prize: to choose the best albums without distinction of musical genre, with the sole criterion of their artistic quality. After a selection of 40 albums among the entries by a jury of specialized journalists, a committee of artists (performers, musicians, lyricists, beatmakers, etc.) will designate a list of the 10 best albums of the year, as well as a winner. The philosophy of the Prix Joséphine lies in the idea of encouraging the public, but above all, to open up to various musical works and to promote the plurality of styles by celebrating the artists of tomorrow and today. The winners will then be announced during the week of the music festival, allowing the promotion of the 40 albums selected through podcasts, reports and other content broadcast throughout the summer period until the ceremony that will take place on September 23.

Registrations are now open, until May 16, 2022 on the Prix Joséphine website, for all albums that were produced in France and published between May 31, 2021 and June 3, 2022.
