Show for children, which allowed us to discover the wonderful world of Claude Ponti. Blaise, the masked chick, Serpicouliflor, Parci et Parla or Le Nakakoué, all this is part of the universe of Claude Ponti's albums, a universe made of puns and small creatures. A show full of symbolism. Intended for children, L'arbre d'Hypolène was shown at the children's theater in Toulouse before landing in Paris and then heading to Avignon for the festival. The story is simple, Hypolène begins a long initiatory journey in the heart of the roots of her tree-house, during which she will have to face her fears and her finitude, to accept the death of her grandmother and come out of this ordeal grown. Ponti's works are full of details in terms of drawings and in this adaptation we have this impression of following a real book thanks to the costumes, the absolutely fantastic sets, we think of the famous Ortic, or even this book effect in the setting. Three years of work for a magnificent result. We can only recommend this show if you are looking for a family outing whether or not you are accompanied by little fans of Ponti or not.
